There is currently two programmes offered to senior students at Nagle Community College– Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Vocational Program ( LCVP) .
In the Leaving Certificate programme students are offered four option subjects which must be taken in addition to their core subjects.

Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) Summary
The Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) is a specialised two-year senior cycle program designed to enhance the traditional Leaving Certificate by focusing on practical and work-related skills. LCVP provides students with the knowledge and abilities to succeed in both higher education and the workforce.
Key Features:
Core Curriculum: Students complete at least five Leaving Certificate subjects, including Irish (unless exempt), with two subjects from designated vocational subject groupings.
Vocational Preparation: Dedicated modules in areas such as enterprise education, career guidance, and information technology.
Work Experience: Practical placements or simulated work environments to develop real-world skills.
Portfolio of Work: Students create a portfolio showcasing their achievements, including CVs, reports, and projects.
Assessment: Combines a written examination (40%) and portfolio assessment (60%), offering a practical approach to learning and evaluation.
