The value of sport has always been held in high esteem at Nagle. Sport promotes many attributes of the development of the whole person and none moreso than from a social, psychomotor and social perspective.

The sporting endeavours of Nagle teams and individuals reflect the students’ interests and the corresponding interests of the Nagle staff; the input to which has been immense.

There has also been a tremendous tradition in Nagle of older students coaching younger students and helping administratively with teams.

Indeed, this aspect of student life in Nagle is rewarded every year on Prizes Night, When a Leadership In Sport Award is presented to one outstanding candidate.

Nagle students are offered the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports; namely Hurling, Gaelic Football, Soccer, Golf, Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton.

Nagle students compete in a variety of competitions at local and Munster Level.

While success is sought after, the spirit of team work, discipline and togetherness is paramount.

Nagle had had many successes over the years – too many to list in detail but the following are a sample of some of our successes: Under 18 All Ireland Soccer winners, Cork Hurlers Brian O’Keeffe and Wayne Sherlock to name but a few.
